Advanced Surface Engineering
The Special pinbars are manufactured from hardened stainless steel and finished with a precision plating layer of 2-3 microns. This engineered surface achieves a working hardness in the range of 65–70 HRC, compared to the 32–38 HRC typically seen in work-hardened SS304 pinbars.
The result is a surface that retains dimensional integrity over extended operating cycles, even under continuous stripping and high-speed production conditions.to multiple Industries.
Low Friction for Cleaner
De-Moulding
The hardened & plated surface exhibits an extremely low coefficient of friction, significantly reducing interaction forces during de-moulding. This minimizes surface scratches caused by metal strippers and supports smoother capsule release.
This characteristic is particularly beneficial for:
- Clear and transparent capsules (CT)
- HPMC capsules, which are inherently more adhesive during stripping
Extended Scratch Free Life
Usable pinbar life is defined by surface wear, measured through Ra (surface roughness) values, where a range of < 0.1 Ra is critical for consistent capsule quality.
Field performance shows that Special hardened pinbars maintain acceptable Ra levels for up to 7X longer than standard pinbars, resulting in:
